Hummingbird Hideaway is nestled in a little-known valley just outside Lesterville, MO called Peola Valley. Open 365 days a year, our cottage is a welcomed gem of a retreat for the over-stimulated senses of city-dwellers. Here, you'll find the rest and rejuvenation your weary soul seeks, any season of the year. Johnson’s Shut-Ins and Elephant Rocks State Park are nearby, as are Blue Spring and Taum Sauk Mountain, the highest point in Missouri. We're off the beaten path with private access to the Black River. You won't hear traffic or the hustle and bustle from your cottage porch, but you'll be close enough to town to dash in for an ice cream cone. We have TONS of hummingbirds in season. Seeing 10 hummingbirds in front of your eyes at the peak of the season is an experience you'll not soon forget!
